PEAK: Biden, 81, bragged to Pueblo workers he has the code to blow up the world

(Colorado Peak Politics)

It’s no longer amusing when President Biden stumbles up and down the stairs and through the names of world leaders.

Now he’s making small talk to strangers about nuclear weapons and bragging he has the secret code to start World War III.

“Now look, my Marine carries that, but it has the code to blow up the world,” the 81-year-old president told workers during a tour this week of the CS Wind facility in Pueblo.

Biden was referring to a Marine who always accompanies the president with “the football,” a satchel carrying the authentication codes to launch a nuclear attack.

“This is not nuclear weapons, is it?” Biden hopefully joked with workers examining a wind turbine.

“Look, my Marine has a code to blow up the world” President Joe Biden

This is an utter disgrace and embarrassment to the nation.. everyone responsible for putting this clown and allowing him to stay in office should be tried for treason..

It was one embarrassment after another at the South Korean-owned factory, which the Colorado media failed to report in favor of Biden’s scripted talking points bashing Republicans.

But the national and international press took note.

From the New York Post:

Moments later, Biden blundered through a 23-minute speech as polls show large majorities of voters are concerned about his mental acuity as he seeks re-election.

Deion Sanders, Colorado to Have New Uniforms for 2024 Season, Return to Big 12

(Bleacher Report)

BOULDER, CO - NOVEMBER 4: Head coach Deion Sanders of the Colorado Buffaloes has a word with quarterback Shedeur Sanders #2 before his first offensive drive in the first half of a game against the Oregon State Beavers at Folsom Field on November 4, 2023 in Boulder, Colorado. The roster won’t be the only thing that’s different for Colorado when the Buffaloes return to the Big 12 in 2024.

During his weekly press conference before the team’s 23-17 loss to Utah, head coach Deion Sanders seemingly teased a new look to come next season.

“We are happy with our newfound relationship with Nike and what they’ve done for this university, the new uniforms for next season as well,” he told reporters. “It’s phenomenal that matches the cleats and so forth.”

It sounds as though some Colorado players will be donning the Nike Air Diamond Turf Max 96 shoes as well.

Nice Kicks @nicekicks

Prime Time! 😎

Nike has been the longtime apparel provider for Buffaloes athletics. That initially created some questions when Sanders was first hired because he had once said he’d “never” wear Nike gear again after his relationship with the company deteriorated.

That’s all obviously water under the bridge now.

Jake Shapiro of Denver Sports noted Colorado has maintained the broad uniform design on the gridiron since 2015. Changing things up after nearly a decade would be another way to usher in the Coach Prime era and life in the Big 12.

PEAK: Karma? Denver mayor’s car becomes 11,305th victim of auto theft this year

(Colorado Peak Politics)

Call it karma or a just a statistical certainty, but the news that Denver Mayor Mike Johnston’s car was stolen, again, has the universe in stitches.

#copolitics https://t.co/mYNT8d6qW9 pic.twitter.com/Z8eGvZXq32

— Pathofmostresistance (@Pathofmostresi1) November 29, 2023

Johnson’s vehicle is the 11,305th victim to go missing this year in a city that is growing weary of playing Grand Theft Auto.

Interestingly, the mayor’s office refuses for some odd reason to disclose where the vehicle was parked when it was abducted.

Where was the mayor hanging out that needs to be kept so super secret in order to protect the safety of his family?

Criminals have already figured out the undisclosed location, so the information isn’t exactly secret.

We’re guessing Johnston no longer drives the Bronco-themed monstrosity that was stolen a few years ago, and not surprisingly, recovered just a few days later.

Help! My car just got stolen from Office Depot on 35th+quebec. Call 911 if seen (yes I painted my car orange+blue) pic.twitter.com/coStElD9Fx

— Mayor Mike Johnston (@MikeJohnstonCO) January 2, 2017

We have questions.

Was the most recent vehicle of his stolen another gas guzzler, or electric? Was it a city-owned vehicle paid for with our tax dollars?

Was the mayor somewhere he shouldn’t be, like a steak house?

It’s been a month since the vehicle was stolen,

PAGE TWO: Developer slaps Loveland with lawsuit over repeal of urban renewal deal

(Complete Colorado Page Two)

LOVELAND — It took just one week for McWhinney Real Estate Services to hold true to its threat to bring a lawsuit against the city of Loveland for unraveling a taxpayer-subsidized urban renewal project agreement.

At issue was an agreement between the city, Larimer County, and other taxing districts to partner with Chad and Troy McWhinney to develop South Centerra, a 148-acre urban renewal project that would bring new retail and housing to the area near the existing Centerra development at the junction of US Hwy 34 and Interstate 25. It used a controversial funding method known as tax increment financing (TIF).

Under the South Centerra agreement, the city would give up 1.25 percent of all sales tax revenue from retail within the development for 25 years to help with the infrastructure for the project.

However, at the November 21 regular city council meeting, a newly seated council voted to unwind all that, despite a strong warning from the developers that it would bring a breach of contract lawsuit against the city if it did so.

On Tuesday, the McWhinney’s filed two motions on behalf of their company asking for both a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) and permanent relief from the repeal.

“The Loveland City Council purposefully disregarded the law by unilaterally attempting to rescind a validly approved urban renewal plan,” the TRO motion states. “It ignored the proper public notice and public vote requirements in an exceedingly hasty attempt to jeopardize development of a long-planned community.”

There will be a special meeting at 7 p.m.,

PEAK: Biden compares Trump to Hitler to scare up donations at ritzy Denver fundraiser

(Colorado Peak Politics)

President Biden flew to Colorado Tuesday on taxpayer dollars to trash talk Donald Trump at a private Cherry Hills party and scare rich people into funding his sputtering campaign for reelection.

“Those of you over 40 like I am — we never talked this way in American politics,” he said.“We just can’t fall numb to Trump and the threats he poses.”

Without a hint of irony, Biden compared Trump to Hitler, the most notorious mass murderer of the 20th century who led a campaign of genocide killing six million jews.

The comparison surely comforted Jewish officials in attendance, including Gov. Polis, Attorney General Phil Weiser, and Secretary of State Jena Griswold, that unlike most progressive Democrats these days, Biden was still comparing Republicans instead of Israelis with the genocidal leader of the Third Reich.

We reached out to prominent Progressive Democrats @alanfranklin @TedTrimpa @laurachapin and @jaredpolis to ask if they regret letting the Identity Politics genie out of the bottle.

No one replied by our deadline. #copolitics #coleg #cogov #9news #heynext https://t.co/mUoLGQOeOp

— 9MM NEWS (@News9mm) November 29, 2023

It’s the chicken or the egg theory that looms over contemporary American politics; which came first, Donald Trump or vitriolic rhetoric?

Alas, political trash talking is as American as apple pie.

PAGE TWO: Caldara: Alt-left Democrats run wild under Colorado’s gold dome

(Complete Colorado Page Two)

(You can listen to this column, read by the author, here).

Yep, the Colorado Republican Party can be completely dysfunctional and embarrassing. It has elements many call “ultra-right wing”, or “alt-right.”

And you shouldn’t care because it just doesn’t matter.

There is no bigger non-story in Colorado than Republican infighting. How could there be? They have no political relevance. None.

They are the super-minority. Democrats control the state’s executive branch of government, the judicial branch, and boy howdy do they control the state legislature.

There is only one real story in town and it’s getting harder and harder to keep it suppressed. It’s the growing civil war inside the alt-left that run our state.

The rumors of complete embarrassment and behind-closed-doors dysfunction in the Colorado Democratic Party are already legendary. But now the dysfunction is spilling out for all to see.

With at least six members of the Democratic Socialists of America among their ranks, and many more sympathizers in the legislature to mention, there seems to be a new breed of Stalinist-styled viciousness echoing through the halls of the State Capitol.

Like MAGA supporters wearing buffalo horns and ransacking Nancy Pelosi’s office, these folks just can’t contain themselves. But the slight little difference here is these protesters are also our lawmakers.

Just in time for our own awkward family Thanksgiving dinners, they treated us to a legislative special session supposedly regarding “property tax relief.” But they turned it into a clown show followed by a socialist-styled redistribution of our TABOR refunds.

Shedeur Sanders Has Fractured Back Injury; QB Missed Colorado’s Finale vs. Utah

(Bleacher Report)

BOULDER, CO - NOVEMBER 4: Quarterback Shedeur Sanders #2 of the Colorado Buffaloes looks on before a game against the Oregon State Beavers at Folsom Field on November 4, 2023 in Boulder, Colorado. (Photo by Dustin Bradford/Getty Images)

A fractured back was the reason why quarterback Shedeur Sanders missed Colorado’s 23-17 loss to Utah to close out the 2023 season.

Sanders’ injury was referenced at the 4: 50 mark of the video posted by Well Off Media surrounding the game. Walking through the tunnel, the junior said he felt good but couldn’t throw a football. It’s subsequently revealed he had a fracture in his back.

Sanders was considered doubtful in the days leading up to the Utes matchup and ruled out hours before kickoff.

The physical toll paid by the star signal-caller was among the Buffaloes’ subplots all year. His 52 sacks are the highest in FBS despite him only logging 11 starts. That number doesn’t account for the amount of times he was hit after releasing the ball, either.

Head coach Deion Sanders vented his frustration with the performance of the offensive line as a whole in October, telegraphing the turnover to come this offseason.

“The big picture, you go get new lineman. That’s the picture and I’ma paint it perfectly.”

(via @noskozone) https://t.co/AdMEIK7NKXpic.twitter.com/cWBAriC3Tf

The longer the season went on, the more it looked inevitable Shedeur would suffer an injury serious enough to take him out of action.

After the 28-16 loss to UCLA on Oct. 28, head coach Deion Sanders told reporters Shedeur had received an injection to alleviate the pain midway through the game. The following week, Shedeur was briefly in the locker room during a 26-19 loss to Oregon State.

Then he couldn’t finish what was Colorado’s fifth straight defeat, exiting a 56-14 shellacking against Washington State.

“He had some numbness in his hand and couldn’t really grip the ball,” Deion told reporters after the game. “But then that second hit he just got rolled up on. We decided not to send him back out.

Sanders finished the campaign with 3,230 passing yards and 27 touchdowns to just three interceptions. His dad has indicated he intends to return to the Buffaloes for his final year before moving on to the NFL in 2025, though noth

PEAK: Denver woman whose job is hating on whitey gets canceled after going too far

(Colorado Peak Politics)

When last we wrote about Saira Rao, a failed Democrat congressional candidate and racist capitalist who profits off liberal white guilt, she claimed to have been kicked off Twitter for hating on whitey.

Fast forward four years — because no one really cared about Rao’s hate-for-profit racket after she lost to Diana DeGette — and it turns out Rao’s still on Twitter and other social media accounts but now she’s hating on people of all color who are Jewish.

The Denverite is crying to the Hollywood Reporter and Westword that her agent Ally Shuster and entertainment agency CAA dropped her like a Hamas rocket because of her unsurprising views that Israel should not have defended itself against the Hamas attacks last month.

Our theater agent at CAA has dropped me and Regina Jackson because she is offended by our words in support of Palestinian life.

Our words denouncing genocide.

This is McCarthyism on steroids and ethnic cleansing.

We are disgusted but not shocked.#FreePalestine

— saira rao (@sairasameerarao) November 13, 2023

Apparently, Rao dropped some offensive stereotypes and added absurd insults to injury by calling Israelis “genocidal ghouls,” which is kind of like calling African Americans slave-trading monsters.

From Westword:

Speaking through a spokesperson, the agency says many people it works with support Palestine, but Rao’s words went too far.

Yes,

PEAK: Polis is no friend to small business owners, and they’re letting him know it

(Colorado Peak Politics)

Colorado voters still aren’t as stupid as Gov. Polis and his Democrat legislative minions keep fooling themselves into believing.

Like when voters rejected the false choice of property tax relief in exchange for a TABOR tax grab in Prop HH.

Or when Polis called a special session of his stogies and pretended they would address property tax hikes, but applauded when Democrats blew some of our TABOR refund anyway on more welfare programs and pulled yet another bait and switch on property tax relief.

Small business owners got the shaft with zero relief, and will bear the brunt of 40% property tax increases due to the Bidenflation of Bidenomics.

Yet less than a week after the special session ended, Polis had the nerve to pretend he is a friend to small business owners.

Happy #SmallBusinessSaturday, Colorado! Today, we celebrate the small businesses across our state that make Colorado the diverse and vibrant place it is. Let’s show our appreciation and support them today and all year round by shopping locally and spreading the word!

— Governor Jared Polis (@GovofCO) November 25, 2023

Coloradans aren’t falling for Polis’s hypocrisy, just read all their comments on his post.

It’s brutal.

PAGE TWO: Armstrong: Flaws need fixing in Kent Thiry’s election ballot measure

(Complete Colorado Page Two)

Kent Thiry plans to use some of his wealth to help save democracy, or at least to improve it. I love several aspects of his ballot proposal. But it would be a lot better if it used approval voting (vote for as many candidates as you want) both for primary and general elections. Also, I have some ideas for filling vacant seats. I don’t have Thiry’s bucks to fund a competing measure, but I’m hoping the keyboard is mightier than the wallet and that I can persuade Thiry to change some of the details.

In principle, and relative to the status quo, I absolutely love Thiry’s idea for open primaries. As I have repeatedly emphasized, giving political parties special treatment under the law is immoral and anti-democratic. Current law favors the candidates of political parties over other candidates, and it forces taxpayers to finance party primaries. So stupid and wrong! Thiry’s measure would obliterate this unjust system of party favoritism.

Under the proposal, party candidates would no longer be “more equal” than other candidates in getting direct ballot access. Instead, as Sandra Fish writes for the Sun, all candidates would have to collect signatures to get on the ballot, on equal footing. Excellent! Personally, I’d reduce the signature requirements to give more people, even ones of modest means, a realistic shot.

But there’s a big flaw in the way that Thiry’s measure sets up open primaries. Fish writes, “All candidates for elective office from the state legislative level on up would run on a single ballot,
